Muslimah Matters

final poster

Muslimah Matters aims to engage with Ealing's Muslim communities particularly women and girls in a range of activities which challenge and prevent extremism, support vulnerable individuals, and address grievances.

The project will encourage women to negotiate topics that impact them and their communities focusing on every day subjects that can draw out current extremism issues without stigma or particularising certain communities.

We will use a variety of engagement activities, training, support groups and workshops so young people can decide what they want to discuss in a safe space, and have the opportunity to do so with credible and knowledgeable scholars who are able to take on and refute the arguments of violent extremists. These workshops will also strengthen communities and their ability to support vulnerable individuals.
