Community talent to be celebrated at Summer Exhibition 2010

Summer Exhibition 2010 will take place between Saturday 5th and Tuesday 8th June at Acton High School, and will exhibit a wide range of art.
This is the 7th year that local artists have had the opportunity to exhibit and this year the public will for the first time have the chance to take part in Master Classes which will take place at 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.

- Tim Norris. Wood sculpture workshop. Talk, demonstration and hands on session learning the craft of wood carving. During the workshop participants will undertake a small relief carving in wood, which will take approximately 1- 2 hours. Participants (adults and young people over 10) should wear closed toe shoes. - Carl Gabriel. Contemporary Carnival artist & wire sculpting. Demonstration and talk by international artist Carl Gabriel. He considers shape and balance, the use and properties of different materials, and the control of the wire by bending and forming.
Saturday and Sunday at 3 pm.
- Rachel Lillywhite. Photoshop workshop. Bring along a photograph, or take a photo on the day, and learn photo-manipulation techniques.
