Acton Community Forum has been selected as one of the 51 Community Capacity Builders projects (CCBs) in the U.K.. The CCB grant will underpin the rest of UK online centres activity, and bring together organisations and volunteers in large-scale community projects which get entire communities online.
ACF will recruit a team of Champions who are from digitally excluded sectors of the community and/or have the ability to reach them. We will work to engage those with little or no access to IT, who do not have social media accounts and are socioeconomically marginalised. We are currently planning Spring Online as an opportunity to jumpstart the project and begin recruiting Digital Champions.
